Grandpa Tilley's Chair

As you can see from the title this post is about Grandpa Tilley's chair. Grandpa had a special chair. He would sit in it every morning and do his devotions and pray for all the many people he prayed for, us being one of them. This chair was his place of rest and time with the Lord and it was the one thing John wanted when Grandpa passed away. After John talked to his Dad and his Dad talked to everyone else, everyone agreed that John should get this chair. It took us a little while to make the trip and get the chair but this last weekend we were finally able to do just that. We got to Grandpa and Grandmas house around 10 and we ended up looking through a bunch of really cool things. Like binders upon binders of all Grandpas note on his sermons and tons of old pictures of Grandpa and Grandma and everyone else in the family. It was really cool to see family history and explore stuff we had never been able to before. John was definitely missing his Grandpa though. We left on Saturday morning with the chair in tow and now as I sit and write this blog John is sitting in his sweet Grandpas chair. I love the fact that we have this chair. This piece of Grandpa that no one else has. Something so special and sweet to John. I look at it and cant wait for the days when John sits there holding our own precious little ones and tells them all about their Great Grandpa Tilley and all the amazing things he did and the wonderful servant of God he was. Its a wonderful thing to have in our house and I'm so very glad we were able to get it!
